zoya “raven” and sephora by opi “mr right now”
i absolutely love red and black manicures, and this is one of my favorite reds in my collection! mr right now is an awesome darker red jelly polish that is so squishy and glossy. i love it!
jelly sandwich with zoya “katherine”
this was my favorite jelly sandwich! i think maybe my favorite i ever made! this is a million layers of polish tho. 4 layers of zoya “katherine”, 1 of china glaze “electrify”, 1 of sephora by opi “traffic stopper copper” and then 2 more of “katherine”. next time i use this, i’m gonna have to start with an opaque purple as my base. but this is like a fall night in manicure form! i love it
polishes used for this were color club “high society” for the beige, julep “jessica” for the light blue and china glaze “zombie zest” for the green. i sponged the blue and green all around the beige to make it look like dead flesh. then i used a tooth pick and sephora by opi “i’m with brad” to make the dried blood drops. i loved this!
sephora by opi “whats a tire jack?” matte
this polish dries to a matte finish on its own, without a matte top coat. its my favorite black in my collection because its opaque in 1 coat and you can put a top coat over and its just the same as any black creme. love it!
so i had to make it a jelly sandwich!!
2 coats of opi “here today … aragon tomorrow” and then i layered 1 coat of sephora by opi “flurry up” (which is a silver chunky glitter) and then layered 1 coat of the opi dark green again. and the result … a murkey dark green with bright green glitter! very deborah lippmann-esque and i loved it!
essie “haute as hello” and sephora by opi “traffic stopper copper”
i loved this manicure last summer. it was one of my most worn combinations so i busted it out again this summer to see if i still loved it as much. still love the color combo, still hate how awful the formula is of haute as hello. amazing color combo tho!
my first jelly sandwich!!
ever tried doing a jelly sandwich manicure? its when you paint a layer of sheer polish, then a layer of glitter then another layer of the sheer polish over the glitter. you get the coolest glitter manicure ever! i used sephora by opi “mr right now” which is an amazing deep red jelly polish and essie “a cut above” which is a really dense chunky pink glitter. totally amazing but took forever to get off
i freaking love red and black nails. i do this type of manicure all the time, whenever i wear a red i have to do one black nail. its a nod back to when i used to think i was punk rock in high school
Misa “fashionista” with sephora by opi “only gold for me”
I always stayed away from colors like these because they seem so old but maybe I’m getting up there cuz I think this looks so rich and sophisticated. Like gossip girl sophisticated
sephora by opi “whats your point-setta?” with china glaze “twinkle lights”
another christmas manicure! i absolutely love china glaze “twinkle lights” it seriously is the perfect holiday glitter! gold, red, and green microglitter that’s opaque in 2 coats. amazing!
now this is my style of a halloween manicure! blood and black? freaking awesome. i refused to take this off for like 5 days until it chipped so bad i had to.
butter london “knees up” and sephora by opi “whats a tire jack” smeared on top
sephora by opi “mr right now” with opi black shatter
i’m way into red and black nails right now and i am determined to find a combination that works with the shatter. i’m not a black shatter fan, i have never been a black shatter fan but i still try to make it work. i didn’t like it here either, but i figured i would put it up anyways because i love this red and i love red and black nails around halloween … freaking edgy!
a penny looking brown color with a little bit of a gold shimmer! so pretty, another one from my zoya bogo. i got this color because I wanted to replace an old polish that i loved and wanted a dupe. but of course, i had to add glitter … sephora by opi “traffic-stopper copper” was the perfect addition to a penny colored brown polish
