jelly sandwich with zoya “katherine”
this was my favorite jelly sandwich! i think maybe my favorite i ever made! this is a million layers of polish tho. 4 layers of zoya “katherine”, 1 of china glaze “electrify”, 1 of sephora by opi “traffic stopper copper” and then 2 more of “katherine”. next time i use this, i’m gonna have to start with an opaque purple as my base. but this is like a fall night in manicure form! i love it
jelly sandwich with zoya “frida” and essie “a stroke of brilliance”
i absolutely love these zoya gloss colors for jelly sandwiches! this one turned out so cool i had to share it! i was wearing frida on its own for about 2 days before i decided to make a jelly sandwich but it looked really bad so i didn’t share it here. but i had 3 coats of frida on already, then 1 coat of the essie glitter, then 1 coat of frida over top of that. it turned out so cool!
jelly sandwich with zoya “paloma” and essie “a cut above”
i couldn’t just leave paloma alone after wearing it for a day so i made a jelly sandwich! for all of you who don’t know, a jelly sandwich is when you take a jelly finish nail polish, paint a coat of the jelly (or in this case 3 since it was my existing manicure from the day before), then 1 coat of a glitter, then 1 coat of the jelly polish. the result is an ultra glossy polish that has an amazing amount of depth! love this combo!
china glaze “ride the waves” and orly “mermaid tail” jelly sandwich!
i knew the minute that i played with both of these polishes that i was going to be making a jelly sandwich out of them! they are so freaking cool together! this is one coat of ride the waves, followed by one coat of mermaid tail, then one coat of ride the waves on top. looks like an under the sea manicure without any nail art!
so i had to make it a jelly sandwich!!
2 coats of opi “here today … aragon tomorrow” and then i layered 1 coat of sephora by opi “flurry up” (which is a silver chunky glitter) and then layered 1 coat of the opi dark green again. and the result … a murkey dark green with bright green glitter! very deborah lippmann-esque and i loved it!
my first jelly sandwich!!
ever tried doing a jelly sandwich manicure? its when you paint a layer of sheer polish, then a layer of glitter then another layer of the sheer polish over the glitter. you get the coolest glitter manicure ever! i used sephora by opi “mr right now” which is an amazing deep red jelly polish and essie “a cut above” which is a really dense chunky pink glitter. totally amazing but took forever to get off
