orly “rage” and essie “a cut above”
i know i just posted a manicure similar to this, but i absolutely loved the rose gold tin foil look. this is 2 coats of rage and 1 coat of a cut above, and its one of my favorite manicures! i love foils with a glitter over top because it really looks like tin foil on your nails
jelly sandwich with zoya “frida” and essie “a stroke of brilliance”
i absolutely love these zoya gloss colors for jelly sandwiches! this one turned out so cool i had to share it! i was wearing frida on its own for about 2 days before i decided to make a jelly sandwich but it looked really bad so i didn’t share it here. but i had 3 coats of frida on already, then 1 coat of the essie glitter, then 1 coat of frida over top of that. it turned out so cool!
essie “good morning hope”
this is one of essies breast cancer awareness polishes from this year. while i support the cause i try to buy one of these every year, i don’t love this polish. its a sheer streaky mess! while i love the light pink color, this was 4 coats and i still see bald spots. such a shame!
jelly sandwich with zoya “paloma” and essie “a cut above”
i couldn’t just leave paloma alone after wearing it for a day so i made a jelly sandwich! for all of you who don’t know, a jelly sandwich is when you take a jelly finish nail polish, paint a coat of the jelly (or in this case 3 since it was my existing manicure from the day before), then 1 coat of a glitter, then 1 coat of the jelly polish. the result is an ultra glossy polish that has an amazing amount of depth! love this combo!
essie “stroke of brilliance”
since i didn’t want to take the butter london off, i added a new glitter over top once i started to see some chipping. stroke of brilliance is a medium toned chunky blue glitter and absolutely amazing. this is 1 coat . its so dense and dries really quickly. totally in love.
essie “haute as hello” and sephora by opi “traffic stopper copper”
i loved this manicure last summer. it was one of my most worn combinations so i busted it out again this summer to see if i still loved it as much. still love the color combo, still hate how awful the formula is of haute as hello. amazing color combo tho!
essie “borrowed and blue” and icing “frost yourself”
my favorite manicure from last summer had to make a repeat appearance this summer! both of these polishes fall into my “favorites” category. borrowed and blue is my favorite baby blue and frost yourself is my favorite disco type chunky glitter. plus until i can frost myself with some real diamonds this will have to do
my first jelly sandwich!!
ever tried doing a jelly sandwich manicure? its when you paint a layer of sheer polish, then a layer of glitter then another layer of the sheer polish over the glitter. you get the coolest glitter manicure ever! i used sephora by opi “mr right now” which is an amazing deep red jelly polish and essie “a cut above” which is a really dense chunky pink glitter. totally amazing but took forever to get off
orly “rage” and essie “a cut above”
this is 2 coats of orly “rage”, a super metallic rose gold foil, and 1 coat of essie “a cute above”, which is a chunky and super dense pink glitter! I seriously freaking loved this manicure! i wore it for about 3 days before I broke 2 nails and had to take this off. but it was hella sparkly and like i was wearing pink tin foil on my nails!
essie “van d’go” and deborah lippmann “candy shop”
after all those green mani’s i needed a little break. so i decided its time for easter egg type polishes! be prepared for a bombardment of pastels and light fun glitters! i love this color combo, but hated the application. i was at the bottom of the bottle for my base coat and it made my mani bubble like crazy after it completely dried. so needless to say, this didn’t stay long, but its such an awesome combo it will definitely be making another appearance
essie “navigate her” and julep “hayden”
feeling the st paddy’s day spirit a little early! light green and light orange!! 2 of my favorite colors for spring and making me in the mood to celebrate st paddys. since i’m irish, and very proud to be irish, be prepared for a ton of green manicures to come in the next few days!
essie “navigate her”
be prepared for a huge influx of pictures! i’ve been super busy for the last few days but i still had time to change my manicure. so be prepared for a couple posts!
navigate her is that perfect pistachio green that is totally on trend for this spring! i’m totally in love! this is the perfect green for my skin tone without being too bright and in your face! opaque in 2 coats and so much easier to work with then essie polishes in the past. i’m in love.
